Romans lacked the culture? Think before write. The Romans had a culture, which all of Western European culture is based on.
ha ha the ancient …
ha ha the ancient civilization that was located in what we call china is the same civilization as the modern nation in china? you are putting too much emphasis on words. just because we use the word ‘china’ for the area doesn’t mean that the modern chinese civilization is a continuation of what we call ‘ancient china’ any more than modern europe is a continuation of ancient rome. ‘roman’ and ‘chinese’ are not original names. ancient rome’s influence is as much alive as ancient china’s influence
The Han Dynasty …
The Han Dynasty began later than Rome and Ended earlier. Nearly all European languages have some sort of Latin Influence. The Roman Empire’s adoption of Christianity ensured the lasting influence. The Han Dynasty that was contemporary to Rome began in 200 B.C.E and ended in 200 A.D. Roman Civilization began in 500 B.C.E and ended in 476 A.D, or objectively 1456 A.D, depending on what you consider the Byzantine Empire.

Well to compare …
Well to compare China and Rome one simple way is to see that Chinese people are still posting on youtube, but do you see any Romans posting on youtube? you can say western civilization pays homage to Rome, but does anyone actually see themselves at Roman? Romans built a great empire, but they lacked the culture to keep that empire unified and continuous.
To speak of China …
To speak of China you must remember that where Rome fell, China did not. Where Rome’s people disintegrated into different nations, The Chinese did not. The continued longevity of China and its people is a testament to the success of Chinese culture and governance. We were there at the beginning, and we are still here. Chinese civilization is the ONLY, civilization to survive from the times of antiquity.

Yes, china had a huge empire but it’s gov’t was very inefficient compared to that of Rome’s. Rome’s influenced can still be felt till this very day. actually were all …
actually were all decended from rome in the sense that roman history impacts almost every aspect of western history, without rome there would be no christianity because jesus would’nt have been killed, western europeans were still very primative before being part of the roman empire, and who knows, maybe it would have been china that colonized the americas instead of europe, they might have been brutal, but it was a very brutal world in those times, without them many of us would not exist
